Whether you are new to the game, or a seasoned player looking to improve on anything from bat speed to infield foot work, our instructors have the experience and knowledge to personalize instruction to meet your needs. Practice makes perfect!

All of our instructors have highschool, college, and/or professional baseball/softball playing experience. We know what it takes to foster success in athletes and will evelate players mentally and physcially.

Softball Trainer

Kelsey first served as an Assistant Coach at Muskegon Community College for 4 years. She is now entering her 4th year as the Pitching coach @ Davenport University. She has earned her bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Davenport.

All State pitcher in high school at Wyoming Rogers. Played 2 years in college at Muskegon Community College. Her team won a National Championship at MCC in May of 2010, 3 months later played for District 9 Big League where her team won the World Series Championship beating the Philippines 14-4 and she hit a homerun on ESPN 2.

When Kelsey isn’t at the softball field she enjoys spending time with her family, going fishing, and hanging out with friends.

The remaining balance is due at the time of lesson.

For example: you pay $10 online when booking a “half hour”, then at the time of lesson pay the $25 remaining – directly to Kelsey.

Matt Houseman

Coach & Trainer

Matt Houseman served as a head coach at Muskegon Community College for 8 years. He had taken a program that struggled in the past and transformed it into a league power. When Coach Houseman took over at MCC his goal was to compete for a National Title within five years and he surpassed that goal by winning a National Championship in 2010, just his fourth year in charge.

The Jayhawks coaches were named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Coaching Staff of the Year that year. The Muskegon Catholic Central alumnus guided the Jayhawks to two regional titles, two MCCAA state titles, two Western Conference titles and two trips to the national tournament. The Jayhawks went back to the national tourney in 2012 and took sixth place.

Matt Houseman is a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central. He played baseball at Muskegon Community College and at Olivet College. He has coached baseball at Muskegon Catholic Central, and Muskegon Orchard View. Matt also helped his wife Heidi with the Muskegon High School softball team prior to being hired again at MCC.

Matt is now entering his third season Coaching softball at North Muskegon High School. He is co-owner of Michigan Blue Chip Softball Camps. He coaches two travel teams for Top Prospects. He enjoys coaching his kids, and spending time with his family.
